Almost 3 in 10 people with disabilities who are in the working age are employed according to MOM survey (SPD, 2023).

Singapore aims to have 40% of working-age persons with disabilities employed by 2030 (The Straits Times, 2022). This will not only create a more inclusive culture, it can also lead to a wider range of perspectives and ideas, which will drive innovation and success. Since each person is unique and has their own specific goals and needs. You will need to be equipped with the etiquette in working with various unique disabilities.

How to Work Effectively with Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)

To boost the confidence of working professionals in engaging with persons with disabilities (PwD), this program seeks to provide participants with a fundamental grasp of various disabilities and disability etiquette. Employers interested in hiring PwD will gain the ability to streamline the hiring procedure and effectively aid in integrating and retaining workers with disabilities.

With humble beginnings and personal experiences, Thomas has always been seeking a way to give back to society and has come to realise that many still struggle in the aspects of mental health. Coupled with his interests in human thought and behaviour, it has driven him towards the field of psychology and counselling.

At Mind Culture , he provides counselling services and manages business development, and provides training and workshops for business leaders. Thomas has several years of exposure in multi-government agency collaboration. In the private sector, he provided consultative work to start-ups and MNCs on their business structure, consumer approach, talent management, employee welfare, training and development, and workplace safety.

He is also trained in Strategic Negotiation and certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) with an Advanced Certification In 5-PATH®️, as well as a 7th PATH Self-Hypnosis Teacher and a neuro-linguistic programming practitioner, Thomas is dedicated to the growth and is constantly seeking improvements in strategies and techniques that can effectively help his clients achieve their best. It is his belief that by providing guidance in navigating his clients' current situations, individuals from all walks of life can then be led towards reaching their fullest potential.
