If you're not already using it, Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tag management tool that enables you to install and manage marketing tags (code snippets or tracking pixels) on your website (or mobile app) without changing the source code. The ability to handle the code independently without the assistance of developers is a major advantage of GTM. But it's not as easy as it seems.

You must have the technical know-how to use GTM and comprehend how it operates. To create and run your campaigns successfully, you'll also need to learn how to combine them with other Google products, such as Google Analytics.

In this hands-on Google Tag Manager course, you will learn practical tag deployment strategies using best practice “recipes”. You will also get your hands dirty with setting up and configuring Tag Manager's web-based user interface to set up Google’s latest GA4 tags, establish triggers that cause your tag to fire when website interaction events occur and create variables that can be used to simplify and automate your tag configurations. You will also explore a variety of commonly used implementations beyond GA4, including implementations for ad pixel tracking, chat integration, and Shopify e-commerce tracking. By the end of the course, you will be able to install GTM on a website and configure it to install GA4.
