Introduction to Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free, powerful tool that allows you to manage and deploy marketing tags (such as tracking pixels or code snippets) on your website or mobile app without needing to modify the source code. This capability empowers marketers to implement tracking and optimization strategies independently of developers, which streamlines workflows and reduces reliance on technical teams. However, effective use of GTM requires technical knowledge and an understanding of how tags and triggers work in coordination with other Google products, like Google Analytics (GA4). This course is designed to provide you with the practical skills needed to use GTM effectively.
Hands-On Learning and Implementation
Throughout the course, you’ll gain practical experience in configuring and deploying various tags using best practices and industry-standard “recipes.” You’ll learn how to set up GTM’s web-based user interface, configure Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tags, and establish triggers that fire tags based on specific website interactions. Additionally, the course covers tracking implementations for ad pixels, chat integrations, and e-commerce platforms like Shopify. By the end of the bootcamp, you will be fully capable of installing GTM on a website, configuring it for GA4, and implementing a variety of tracking solutions to enhance your marketing efforts.
