Data Visualisation is all about using information design to present data visually. The three main parts associated with data visualisation are data, visualisation, and storytelling. Data storytelling is, in fact, the new language for data visualisation. It is important today to express complex ideas in a simplified manner, using visualisations to tell a story. This 1-day data storytelling course aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to effectively consolidate and collate information and data in an interesting visual manner, to analyse and decipher the hidden trends and patterns. and to improve decision making. Data Scientist and Expert: Mr Mallilkarjun PM
Mallikarjun currently works as a Data Scientist at Insurance Australia Group (IAG), which is a $10bn+ enterprise. His day to day tasks involves working with complex data sets, training machine learning models, supporting business decisions using (Business Intelligence) BI tools and methodologies and applying predictive algorithms on a production scale.
Previously, he has worked extensively as a data analyst and in data engineering. His interests in machine learning, data visualisation and BI led him to work across these various roles. Overall, he has numerous years of experience in data analytics specifically in machine learning and visual analytics and storytelling on Tableau.
