What is CAPM certification?

The PMI® Authorized Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Exam Prep Course provides a solid foundation for project managers. The course aligns with PMI’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ® exam certification requirements. The CAPM certification is essential to gain entry and start building your career as a project manager. It also positions you to pursue any of our major certifications including the gold standard in project management certification, the Project Management Professional (PMP)®.

The CAPM® shows the world that you possess the foundational knowledge and skills that project teams demand. It proves that you’re ready to take on a wide range of projects too— with ways of working that include predictive project management, agile principles and business analysis. The newly updated, 3 hours, 150-question CAPM certification exam tests your aptitude on Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts. Updates to the exam include:

Fee is NOT inclusive of Exam. Learners will be required to register with PMI directly to take the Exam

Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts

• Demonstrate an understanding of the various project life cycles and processes.
• Distinguish between predictive and adaptive approaches.
• Demonstrate an understanding of project management planning.

• Explain the importance of the role the project manager plays
• Determine how to follow and execute and respond to planned strategies or frameworks—e.g., communication, risks, etc.

• Explain when it is appropriate and sustainable to use an adaptive approach for the organizational structure.

• Identify the suitability of adaptive approaches for the organizational structure

• Identify organizational process assets and environmental factors that facilitate the

Dr Chan has had over 30 years of senior management experiences. He is an expert in international business management, management consulting, and organizational development. His highest role was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a US$3.2b integrated resort project. His corporate track record was to turnaround a conglomerate, during the Asian Crisis with US$14b debt, to becoming the second wealthiest company in Indonesia (2022).

He has trained over 10,000 junior, middle and senior managers in transformational & adaptive leadership courses throughout Asia. A regular speaker at regional and international seminars, forums, and symposium on agile project management, innovation leadership, holistic entrepreneurship, etc. He conducts organizational behaviour & leadership, innovation & agile entrepreneurship, global strategic management, managing strategic risks and projects, and operations management modules at bachelors, masters, and doctorate levels. He is a visiting professor to 15 universities in Asia during the past 20 years. 

Currently, Dr Chan is engaged in four roles – international management consultant for organizational development and strategy implementation via projects using various templates (business canvas, project canvas, strategy canvas, capability maturity canvas, and action learning canvas); corporate master trainer for project and agile entrepreneurship across a wide spectrum of industry; adjunct practice professor teaching holistic innovation management unifying with wholistic thinking for paradigm shift by changing the way we think, work, behave, and perform.

Recently, he earned the prestigious global award as an “Academic Fellow of The International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (2022)” and “1st Fellow of Strategy Implementation Institute”.
