Our Trainer’s Profile

Organizational Management Effectiveness Coach, Mr. Edward Foong   

Edward Foong is the founder and CEO of Treino Consulting, a HR Consulting firm. In this capacity, Edward is responsible for sales, design and delivery of all HR related services to organizations, including Talent Management, Succession Planning, Compensation and Benefits Advisory, Organization Development, Training and Performance Management. He has helped companies implement Change programs, design and implement Performance Management systems, and facilitate programs around Sales, Service, Leadership, Management and Teams.

When he graduated as a Software Engineer, he joined IBM as a Client Representative and emerged top 4% of all Sales in Asia.  He was well liked by his customers and built good relationships throughout his career.  He experienced telecommuting since then.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, he was Senior Assistant Vice President of MediaCorp, a leading broadcaster in the region. In this position, he led a team who managed almost 3,000 employees and is primarily responsible for the whole company’s training & development needs and Organization Development. 

Prior to taking on this senior management role in a Government organization, he contributed to the success of various USA-based and European-based MNCs, Including being a Regional Manager with Gemplus responsible for Training and Development, HR and Internal Communications for 11 countries in Asia Pacific. In this capacity, he rolled out several key programs in these countries and trained up to 1,700 staff from diverse cultures and backgrounds. These programs included Executive Coaching, Coaching Skills, Selling Skills, Customer Service, Negotiation Skills, Presentation Skills and Performance Management.   Edward has more than 15 years experience in facilitation of management, leadership, sales and customer service programs. He is a recognized coach and has utilized his skills to coach individuals, teams and even trainers.

Edward is also a certified consultant who can administer and interpret the psychometric tool – The Big Five.  Since 2006, he has been a Board of Director member for various organizations, including Singapore Professionals & Executives Co-operative, The Singapore Human Resources Institute and other government organizations.
