Leadership Excellence: The 5 Laws Workshop
In writing the First Time Leadership book and interviewing 220 leaders from 37 countries, Daniel Lee uncovered 30 competencies for successful leadership of any team. He then broke them down further into the 5 laws of leadership, the essentials that any team leader must know, and reveals them in this highly practical 1-day workshop.
Enriching Your Leadership Proficiency
This is Day 1 of his 4-day signature programme based on the First Time Leadership 3C Framework. All topics covered falls under the ‘Consciousness’ column of that framework.
The 1st law reveals to participant what leadership really is, and it goes beyond the position titles given by others or by organisations. It will also explore the statement that ‘Leaders are born, then made.’
The 2nd law is where participants undertake an online self-assessment based on DISC profiling, which helps them to reveal to themselves how they go about leading themselves, and how others want to be led.
The 3rd law brings participants to come to terms that the team they lead is constantly fluctuating in its developmental stage, and how this can bring about various conflicts. It then reveals how an effective team leader engages the team to resolve these conflicts.
The 4th law explores how the concept of Situational leadership is practically applied, according to the various stages of a team’s development, and what it means to be a ‘situational leader’.
The 5th and final law highlights the importance of trust, explores its components, and reveals what a leader has to look out for to know that they are being successful as a team leader.
By gaining eventual mastery in these 5 ‘laws’, other will come to recognise that a leader is emerging from within the participant.
