1-Day Sandbox Academy Singapore Workshop on Metaverse, NFT & VoxEdit

Learn all of the new features and tools of VoxEdit and start creating

VoxEdit is a tool for creating NFT assets for The Sandbox Game. If you want to create your own 3D characters in the same style as Minecraft, Voxedit can do it for you! VOXEDIT is a software where you use voxels to create your 3D characters. A "Voxel" is a word composed of the word "volumes" and "pixels", this is a very simple technique to create such Minecraft designs. This is like doing pixel-art by using the 3D. This 1 day VoxEdit Fundamentals and Best Practices is a hands-on workshop that will cover the core toolset and some of the advanced tricks of VoxEdit. The content will not focus on animation, which is planned for in the Gamemaker Workshop.

What is VoxEdit?

VoxEdit is a 3D modelling and animation program designed for creating voxel-based assets for The Sandbox, a gaming platform where people can create, sell and buy game assets, develop and play games, and invest in the blockchain-powered metaverse.

VoxEdit is totally free to use and you can use it for any project you want, whether personal, educational, or commercial. 

Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

• Introduction to the Sandbox Metaverse
• Masters the key techniques of Voxedit
• Using VoxEdit Modeler to Create voxel arts, 3D Characters 
• Using Voxedit Animator for animation of your Digital Asset
• Using Voxedit NFT Creator to rig, and animate your own voxel-based NFTs. 
• Learn how to list and sell your creation on The Sandbox's marketplace and discover a new world.

Note: No Prior programming knowledge

Sharon Beh (Head of Production, Smobler Studios)

Sharon is a fashion designer, innovator, and advocate. A self-professed “fashion engineer”, she is committed to finding solutions to overcome the negative impacts of the fashion industry on the environment and society.

She spent 5 years creating in the fast fashion manufacturing industry and eventually left as she was disappointed by what she witnessed. As such, she is passionate about fusing technology and fashion so as to bring about a digital revolution in the consumption of wearables minus the pain, guilt, and impact on the environment.

Given her background as an electrical and electronic technical marketing engineer in the semiconductor industry, Sharon describes herself as a “logical creative” and as such has a unique eye for identifying fashion trends.

Sharon is passionate about designing 3D characters, NFT and Metaverse.

She is a proud alumnus of University Technology of Petronas (UTP) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) where she obtained her First Class in both Bachelor’s in Engineering and Diploma in Fashion respectively.
