Intermediate to Advanced Data Visualisation with Power BI

This one-day intermediate course is designed for individuals who want to explore the full potential of Microsoft Power BI in data visualization and analytics. Participants will gain hands-on experience in transforming raw data into meaningful insights to support informed decision making. Through interactive exercises, they will learn to connect to various data sources, model and analyze data, and create compelling visualizations using Power BI Desktop.

*Learners should have an internet-enabled laptop with a Windows operating system and Microsoft Power BI preinstalled (an installation guide will be sent prior to the course date) for this course.

Upon completion of the course, learners would be able to:

(1) Identify the key analytical components of Power BI desktop client

(2) Connect to data source

(3) Transform and model data

(4) Use data analysis expression (DAX) for analysis

(5) Create interactive visualisations and dashboards

This course is designed for learners who have either:

• Completed the Introduction to Data Visualisation Using Power BI course; or
• Individuals seeking a deeper appreciation of Microsoft Power BI
