The aim of this module is to equip students with a comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts, theories, and practical applications of positive psychology, workplace design and ergonomics in developing a positive impact on employee well-being, productivity, and overall organisational performance. To achieve this, this module integrates and synthesises insights from both the fields of Business and Psychology.
By the end of this module, students should possess a broad understanding of the psychological, psycho-social and physiological factors that influence workplace well-being. Furthermore, the notion of sustainability is instilled throughout this module by covering topics such as workspace, job and organisational design, psychological capital (PsyCap), and positive leadership. Creativity and innovation will also be nurtured through coursework that involves students applying their knowledge to suggest potential solutions to organisational problems.
Note: The program runs across 2 consecutive weekends, with 2 full days per weekend, totaling 4 days of immersive learning.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Evaluate and enhance workplace well-being policies to foster psychological safety, trust, and social support.
- Identify and mitigate workplace stressors and toxic behaviors to foster a healthier and more productive work environment.
- Analyze employee well-being data to identify health risks and implement data-driven interventions for workplace well-being
- Analyze the impact of job autonomy, office environments, and flexible work arrangements on employee well-being.
- Apply the PERMA model and Psychological Capital to enhance employee engagement, resilience, and workplace well-being.
- Evaluate well-being metrics and communication approaches to address employee concerns and sustain workplace health initiatives.
- Apply SMART goal-setting and coaching techniques to enhance employee well-being and resilience in the workplace.

CP is a highly experienced HR leader and consultant with over 15 years of experience in HR business partnering, talent development, and organizational development, particularly in Southeast Asia. His expertise spans across various sectors, including the civil service, multinational corporations, and technology start-ups, providing him with diverse insights into organizational needs. As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), CP specializes in leadership coaching and performance management, having worked with high-profile clients such as Allianz, PSA Group, and RHB Bank.
He is also a Master Facilitator for SHRM in Southeast Asia and a part-time lecturer at NTU and SUSS, demonstrating his commitment to HR excellence.
