The number of children and students with special needs continues to rise. In 2022, there are 27,000 students with mild special education needs in mainstream schools, while 7,000 students are in SPED schools (SPD, 2023).

With the bridging between pre-schools and early intervention centres, as well as more children with special needs enrolling in mainstream schools, teachers are now required to handle different learning and behaviour needs in class. Demand for early intervention is set to grow with more children diagnosed with special needs due to greater awareness and testing, with the numbers from KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the National University Hospital growing exponentially. Children and youth, regardless of abilities, should have opportunities to maximise their potential. Jeslyn is the Managing Director of Mind Culture. She is a certified practitioner of Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) and a member of Association for IEMT Practitioner. Jeslyn is the Immediate Past President of Association of Psychotherapy and Counsellors Singapore (APACS) as well as full member of Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). With extensive experience working in the service and education sectors, she had attained vast opportunities to work with disadvantaged and disenfranchised children, youth, as well as adults (with specialty in the psychological dysfunction, intellectually disabled individuals and their families). Alongside with Advance Certification in Training and Assessment (ACTA), Jeslyn lectures in institutions and is currently providing psychological services in National University Hospital (NUH) for staff wellness.

As a psychologist and a hypnotherapist, she took charge of clinical assessment and program, individual behavioural plan (IBP) development, clinical supervision and clinical meetings with parents. With experience in behavioural and language intervention (trained in ABLLS™, ABA & VB techniques/ physiology) and alongside with hypnotherapeutic work, she is National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) Certified with an Advanced Certification In 5-PATH®, as well as a 7th PATH Self-Hypnosis Teacher.

Jeslyn work closely with clients in achieving individualised learning goals progressively. Apart from her work experience in the social service industry, she also spent years in the private sectors in management level, ensuring employees’ well-being by performing conflict resolution, and providing counselling services. This further fortified her skills in dealing with clients regarding matters of safety, crisis, and restorative management. She developed therapeutic interventions to promote motivation and heighten work morale as well as work ethics. Additionally, Jeslyn is experienced in the medical sector as a senior surgical operating assistant, dealing with patients and cases that included financial hardship, phobias, and socio-emotional needs.

With humble beginnings and personal experiences, Thomas has always been seeking a way to give back to society and has come to realise that many still struggle in the aspects of mental health. Coupled with his interests in human thought and behaviour, it has driven him towards the field of psychology and counselling.

At Mind Culture , he provides counselling services and manages business development, and provides training and workshops for business leaders. Thomas has several years of exposure in multi-government agency collaboration. In the private sector, he provided consultative work to start-ups and MNCs on their business structure, consumer approach, talent management, employee welfare, training and development, and workplace safety.

He is also trained in Strategic Negotiation and certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) with an Advanced Certification In 5-PATH®️, as well as a 7th PATH Self-Hypnosis Teacher and a neuro-linguistic programming practitioner, Thomas is dedicated to the growth and is constantly seeking improvements in strategies and techniques that can effectively help his clients achieve their best.
