The two-day programme will allow you to understand the key areas of criminology and psychology. As the crime problems today become an increasingly central focus, you will acquire the methodological skills and theoretical tools that criminology practitioner’s use, and study specific ways of understanding people and their behaviour. Our faculty will run the course through a first theoretical session and a second practical session which will expose trainees to practical activities related to the subjects covered. 4.Singapore’s Criminal Justice System – Introduced to criminology; Examine how Singapore governed in the context of law has shaped the criminal justice with reference to criminal statistics; Social contract
5.Positivist Criminology & Criticism –Focuses on studying the relationship between criminal behaviour and any external factors and criticism.

Criminology Profiling Expert: Mr Anil Singh Sona (Masters of Social Science, National University of Singapore)
Mr Anil Singh Sona is a criminology profiling expert. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Sociology and a Master of Social Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Professional Counselling – Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) and Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) – Workforce Development Agency (WDA) He is also a faculty with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and is involve in the Community Outreach and Engagement department of the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS), Institute of Mental Health (IMH).
