Leadership Challenges Faced by Women in Today’s VUCA World
Women are significantly underrepresented in leadership positions worldwide. Female directors of listed companies earn little more than half of their male counterparts according to a study by the National University of Singapore Business School’s Centre for Governance. This course is based on Kim Underhill’s women leadership programme called, “Winning in Heels”. It looks at understanding why there are still less women leaders and why we are still talking about gender inequality in this century. While our V.U.C.A. world continues to evolve, change is inevitable, and we must “BE THE CHANGE, before change changes us”. This workshop will take participants through a journey of self-discovery in awareness, acknowledgement, adaptation before advancement.
- Understand what it takes to “Win in Heels” through intentional preparations
- Mindset shift from challenge to choice
- Build confidence through self-leadership
- Establish strong personal brand to increase visibility
- Improve resilience at workplace
Who Should Attend
- Women aspiring for leadership roles
- Women with leadership roles
- Those who want to know more about tapping on the women workforce for leading positions

Chris Tan, Head, Talent Management, Swire Marine Group
“I had so much clarity after today’s session. While it was weird to discover myself this way, it provided explanation why I need a coach. I look forward to our next session”
Candice Beth, Business Owner
“The workshop came at a very optimum time for me and it helped point me in the right direction or gave me direction (and a reality check). I was able to then see clearer what steps I needed to take to get to the place I wanted to be or saw myself at. The session helped break down everything into bite-size issues/questions to ask myself and guide me to my destination or at least in the right general direction. You crystallised the issues very clearly and by using everyone’s context as different examples of how what was being taught could be applied in reality, it helped me understand everything better”
