INTRODUCTION

Data analytics has been the hot buzzword the last few years and has even been touted to be the sexiest job in the 21st century by the Harvard Business Review in 2012. Many organizations and governments around the world have invested heavily in technology and human capital in the hopes of capitalizing on the data advantage. While we hear about some of the runaway successes of those who got data analytics right; but for the many other organizations who remain unreported, they have been disappointed by the outcomes. What went right for the former, what went wrong for the latter? What is analytics? What does it take to succeed with analytics? This half-day workshop has been designed to address the above questions and more. It is targeted at professionals who want to learn more about what analytics is, what it takes to succeed and also, to experience how analytics adds value to organizations and changes discussions and how decisions are made.

Data Expert: Michael Lee

Michael is an associate of FYT Consulting Pte Ltd. An IT professional by training with more than 25 years of consulting & practical experience across many functions (sales, client management, business operations & customer service) throughout various roles (Vendor, Systems Integrator, Distributor and Enduser) in both the public & private sector.

Prior to joining FYT Consulting, Michael has done consultancy and process re-engineering for several SMEs. He has also conducted numerous training sessions on Virtual Teaming for international banks and corporations. In addition, he has made many speaking engagements in Customer & Partner events, as well as in major international Sales Conferences. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Mathematics as well as an MBA from the National University of Singapore.
