INTRODUCTION TO PLAY THERAPY

Play is the activity that brings the most joy into the lives of children. It allows children build self-confidence, and interacts with other children. Its an experience that exemplifies what it means to be a child.

Play therapy is a revolutionary approach that utilizes play as children's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words. Besides children, Play therapy is also form of counseling or psychotherapy that uses play to communicate with and help people, to prevent or resolve psychosocial challenges. Play therapy aims to help them towards better social integration, growth and development, emotional modulation, and trauma.

A EXPERIENTIAL & ENRICHING 2 DAY WORKSHOP

The purpose of this two-day skills training workshop is to provide participants a comprehensive introduction to the Revolutionary Play Therapy Model and to teach participants the principles and techniques of Play Therapy

This two-day practical workshop focuses on how plays therapy improves the cognitive, physical and social functions of children. It also includes child development theories and how these underpin play therapy. It provides children with a voice that they might not be able to express in words, and gives valuable insight into a child’s emotional state.

Let Experienced Counsellor and Therapist, Karen-Ann Sciberras share with you effective tips to use PLAY Therapy in play contacts, and tells how the toys of the playroom can be vivid performers and aids in growth using case studies and illustrations of how to apply PLAY therapy.
