Mr. Lawrence Poh Profile

Mr. Lawrence Poh is a full member of Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals (SIATP). He is also a Qualified Individual approved by Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

He holds a Master of Accountancy from Victoria University, Australia and an Honours degree in Banking & Finance from University of London. He is also a graduate from the former Singapore Command & Staff College.

Lawrence has 20 years of experience in accounting, audit, tax, corporate finance, financial markets, company secretarial, ERP & Balanced Scorecard (BSC) system implementation and transformational leadership. He had assumed auditing, finance and accounting positions in Public Accounting Firms, Ministry of Defense and Process & Discrete Manufacturing Companies (Group Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Chief Financial Officer respectively). This ranged from local SGX mainboard-listed company, Multi-National Company to International firm with presence in China, United States, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia.

His career highlights included spearheading and attaining the prestige Enterprise Award 50 in the year 2015 when he was CFO of a Biomedical Manufacturing Company. Under his leadership in specific Business Risk Management, he has helped Companies to expand overseas (i.e. Wholly owned subsidiary, Joint Venture etc) while mitigating against the business risk exposure such as global Exchange rate and Interest rate risk.

Lawrence recent coaching milestone included delivering of Strategic-Focused Organization Course to Tuas Power Group of Companies.

As at now, Lawrence is more than passionate to nurture those working professionals with EAR elements i.e. Energetic, Attentive, Receptive. Having mastered teaching-centric courses such as Train the Trainer, Method of Instruction and Learning Organization, he firmly believe in applying these methodologies during the courses & seminars. End state in mind is to meet the learning objectives and more importantly to have fun.
